Common side effect is nephrolithiasis [kidney stones] which is more likely in children; unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia; malaise; flank pain; back pain; abdominal pain; alopecia; ingrown toenails; dried cracked skin [‘retinoid syndrome’]; vasculitis; edema; hemolytic anemia and hepatitis.
