Fluoroquinolone antibiotic
Therapeutic use is agent- and indication-specific within the class (Fluoroquinolone antibiotic). Use according to culture results, national guidelines (Kenya STG/EML where applicable) and the current product SmPC. Bacterial eye infections
1-2 drops QID x 1/52. Depending on the severity of the infections, the dosage for the first day of therapy may be increased to 1-2 drops every 2 hrs during the waking hours.
GI upset, headache, dizziness, insomnia. Serious: tendon rupture, neuropathy, seizures, QT prolongation/TdP, severe hypersensitivity, C. difficile, aortic events (rare), dysglycaemia.
Store as labelled. Keep out of reach of children.
