Corticosteroid
Relief of pain and itching due to hemorrhoids, anal fissure, anal pruritus, and proctitis. Clinical selection for Cinchocaine / hydrocortisone should follow culture results where relevant, Kenya STG/EML recommendations, and the current product SmPC. Class context: Corticosteroid. Confirm site-specific dose, duration and monitoring before prescribing.
Insert cream into the rectum with an applicator at night and the morning and after defecation.
Insomnia, increased appetite, mood lability, dyspepsia, hyperglycaemia. Chronic: cushingoid features, myopathy, osteoporosis, HPA suppression. Topical: skin atrophy, striae. Inhaled: thrush, dysphonia.
Store as labelled. Keep out of reach of children.
