Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity.
- LABA monotherapy in asthma is contraindicated — always with ICS.
Precautions
- Warnings Do not use in child who is taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional condition, or Parkinson’s disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug.
- If you do not know if your child’s prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before giving this product.

Renal
Low for inhaled; monitor electrolytes if continuous nebs.
- CrCl 0–120: Confirm renal dosing in product SmPC / primary label.

Low clinical concern for inhaled therapy.
Safety
Drug interactions
- Assess inhaler technique every visit.
- Increasing SABA use = uncontrolled disease — step up controller therapy.
- Never prescribe LABA alone for asthma.

Adverse effects
- Tremor, tachycardia, headache, palpitations, hypokalaemia, hyperglycaemia.
- Serious: arrhythmias, paradoxical bronchospasm.

- Uses Uses: temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with a cold helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to drain bronchial tubes.

Stimulate airway smooth muscle beta-2 receptors, increasing cAMP and causing bronchodilation.

Stimulate airway smooth muscle beta-2 receptors, increasing cAMP and causing bronchodilation. Also improve mucociliary clearance and may stabilise mast cells. SABA for rescue; LABA for maintenance with ICS.
